Voting Membership
Any person or organization that agrees with the Preamble to the NCACS
By-laws and by action supports the Object and Purpose of the Coalition
can become a Voting Member. Voting Members receive a one-year subscription
to the National Coalition News, a listing in the National Directory
of Alternative Community Schools, a free copy of the directory, and
discounts on regional and national conferences.
Voting Membership is open to individuals, families, home-educating
families, schools, and/or communities. It is the right and responsibility
of Voting Members to participate in the workings of the Coalition and
vote on Coalition issues, including the election of Board Members.
Associate Membership
Any person or group interested in alternative education and the work
of the Coalition can become an Associate Member. Independent Associate Membership includes one year of National Coalition News and member rates on the Directory and conference fees. These members do not have to be affiliated with a voting member organization and they do not vote.
Individuals who are associated with a Voting Member (for example,
parents whose children attend a member school) can become Affiliated
Associate Members at a reduced rate.Affiliated Associate Membership
includes one year of National Coalition News and voting member rates
on the Directory and conference fees. These members have to be affiliated
with a voting member organization.
Newsletter Subscribers
Those wishing to maintain contact with the NCACS but who do not wish
to become members may subscribe to National Coalition News for $20 per
year.
